How to properly clean your cpap tubing

Cleaning your CPAP tubing is important to ensure that it remains free from bacteria and other contaminants. Here are some steps you can take to clean your CPAP tubing:

  1. Disconnect the tubing from your CPAP machine and mask.

  2. Rinse the tubing in warm water. Use a mild soap or detergent to clean the tubing if necessary.

  3. Fill a sink or basin with warm water and add a small amount of white vinegar.

  4. Submerge the tubing in the vinegar solution and let it soak for 30 minutes.

  5. After soaking, rinse the tubing thoroughly in warm water to remove any remaining vinegar.

  6. Hang the tubing over a towel rack or shower rod to air dry.

  7. Once the tubing is dry, reconnect it to your CPAP machine and mask.

It's important to clean your CPAP tubing at least once a week to prevent bacteria from building up. Additionally, you may want to consider purchasing a specialized CPAP tubing cleaning brush to help remove any stubborn debris or buildup inside the tubing.
